In order to maintain a competitive edge, the company must inspire its employees by offering a healthy work environment that encourages excellence in performance. The primary responsibility of management is to effectively use human resources to achieve organizational goals.
Organization for reaching higher goals and development use motivation. Motivation is a complex phenomenon which is influenced by individual, cultural, ethnic and historical factors. Some methods are suggested to increase employee performance. Recognition, Rewards and incentives are probably among the most popular ones. Traditionally most reward and recognition programs were vague and often given in response to a manager’s perception of when an employee performed exceptionally well. There were usually no set standards by which exceptional performance could be measured, and it could have meant anything from having a good attitude, assisting another department, or being consistently punctual. The purpose of this study is to identify the key elements performance management and reward system. The data was collected from 100 employees of salaried employee and was analysed using percentage tables.
