Description: The study on retail penetration level of Airtel PrePaid cards in Thane, with respect to the area of VSV agencies, is mainly aimed at finding out the current penetration level of Airtel PrePaid cards among the retail outlets in Coimbatore. The study is also aimed at finding out the preferences taken into account by the retailers while Shelfing / Non Shelfing the product. The nature of the research is Performance Monitoring. Since the size of the population is finite in nature i.e. 387 Outlets (with respect to the category mentioned by the company), a population survey is undergone to get the intended results for the study. Both secondary and primary data are collected for the study. Secondary data such as Total number of Retail Outlets with respect to the category mentioned by the company is collected from the respective Coimbatore zonal offices and Airtel Retail Outlet Data Base. Primary data required for the study is collected directly from the retailers using the direct structured questionnaires. The communication media used to collect the primary data is personal interview.
